As we begin 2025, we have some exciting news to share that marks a new chapter for wellbeing in Australia.
Be Well Co and The Oranges Toolkit have merged!
This merger brings together the strengths of both brands under the Be Well Co name, allowing us to provide an even more comprehensive suite of services that support wellbeing and resilience. Together, we will become your go-to destination for evidence-based programs and resources designed to empower individuals, leaders, and organisations to live well.
Why merge?
We’re stronger together.
For years, Be Well Co and The Oranges Toolkit have shared the same mission: to help people build positive wellbeing and resilience through innovative, science-backed mental health solutions. By joining forces, we’re able to deliver on this mission more efficiently and sustainably. This merger strengthens our national reach and positions us as a leading provider of wellbeing services in Australia.
We’re better together.
Together, we can:
- Extend our impact across the country.
- Deliver even greater value to our clients.
- Drive meaningful positive change for individuals, workplaces, and communities.

We are a social enterprise by Camp Quality
As part of this merger, Be Well Co’s ownership will transition from its former parent entity, the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), to The Oranges Toolkit’s parent company, the children’s cancer charity Camp Quality.
While SAHMRI will continue to be associated with Be Well Co through research affiliations, this change marks an exciting new chapter for us. Under Camp Quality’s leadership, Be Well Co will operate as a social enterprise dedicated not only to supporting mental health research, but also contributing profits to help Camp Quality deliver vital programs and cancer education for kids and their families across Australia.
Be Well Co will maintain a strong presence in South Australia, with the organisation relocating to Camp Quality’s Adelaide office.
A Huge Thank You to Our Partners and Supporters
We couldn’t have reached this milestone without the incredible support of our community. Over the years, we have been privileged to work with incredible individuals and organisations committed to improving wellbeing. This important next step in our journey wouldn’t have been possible without their support.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to:
- Our former and current staff, whose dedication to our mission has been instrumental in shaping Be Well Co’s success. A special acknowledgment to our Co-founder Monique Newberry, who is stepping down as Co-CEO after close to a decade of leadership within SAHMRI. Monique’s vision and hard work were pivotal in establishing Be Well Co as a national leader in wellbeing, alongside Co-founder Joep van Agteren, who will continue to lead Be Well Co alongside The Oranges Toolkit’s leadership team.
- Our organisational partners, for trusting us to deliver impactful mental health and wellbeing services.
- Our philanthropic and government supporters, for their invaluable contributions to our growth.
Finally, we would like to thank SAHMRI for their unwavering support in helping us spin out and prepare for this exciting new chapter.

We are excited for what’s to come. Together we’re ready to help individuals, teams, and organisations across Australia thrive. Stay tuned as we embark on this exciting journey and thank you for being part of Be Well Co.
