Privacy Policy

1. Purpose

Be Well Co, ABN 85 640 506 896, is an entity of the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) a world-class research institute to undertake health and medical research. Be Well Co’s work focuses on researching, developing, and delivering products and services to help build the mental health of individuals, organisations, and the wider community. We translate research findings conducted in conjunction with SAHMRI into psychological training programs.

Be Well Co is required to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) when handling personal information. Personal information is information or an opinion, whether true or not, about an identified individual or an individual who is reasonably identifiable. In some cases, Be Well Co may be required to handle personal information in accordance with State legislation and requirements, such as the South Australian Department of Health's Code of Fair Information Practice (Code) and the Government of South Australia, Cabinet Administrative Instruction No.1 of 1989 (IPPs).

This policy is intended to provide a general overview of our policies for the handling of your personal information. Other policies may apply instead of or in addition to this Privacy Policy in certain circumstances.

In this policy, the terms ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refer to Be Well Co. The terms ‘you’ and ‘your’ refer to people whose personal information Be Well Co may collect.

Collection of Personal Information

When you visit this website, you may provide us with two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis and website use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our website.

Personal Information You Choose to Provide

If you choose to avail of our services, you may need to give personal information, for example, you may need to provide the following information: Name, Mailing address, Email address, Telephone number.

If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received by mail and telephone.

Be Well Co Website

Choice/Opt-In/Opt-Out

This site allows visitors to unsubscribe so that they will not receive future messages. After unsubscribing we will discontinue sending the messages as soon as technically feasible.

From time-to-time our site requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether to disclose this information. We will endeavour to respond as quickly as possible, which generally, will be within 30 days of receiving your complaint.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If/when changes are made to this privacy policy, we will email users who have given us permission to do so. We will post any changes here, so be sure to check back periodically. However, please be assured that if the Privacy Policy changes in the future, we will not use the personal information you have submitted to us under this Privacy Policy in a manner that is materially inconsistent with this Privacy Policy, without your prior consent.
