Who are we?
Be Well Co Pty Ltd is a first spin-out from the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), ranked number 40 in the world's top research institutes.
We translate the research that SAHMRI conducts on mental health and wellbeing solutions. We have direct ties to SAHMRI and their reasearch collaborators such as Flinders University.
A portion of our proceeds feeds back into vital research into mental health and wellbeing.
Why do we exist?
We exist for a simple vision
We want people to have the skills to build their mental health and grow through life’s challenges.
Our solutions aim to give people agency over their mental health and wellbeing. We believe there is one thing we have control over in our quest to feel well and be able to deal with life's adversity: is the way we think and behave.
We want to make it easier for people to create positive wellbeing habits, so we can all become better versions of ourselves, as individuals, organisations and the wider community.
In 2015 SAHMRI set up a Wellbeing and Resilience Centre. This centre, was set up with the aim to build mental health and wellbeing in the Australian community. It did so by
1) providing wellbeing measurement and training to individuals, organisations and the wider community and
2) conducting translational research on the data that was collected in these projects.
While the research component remains within SAHMRI,
Be Well Co has been set up as an independent entity to take our mental health and wellbeing service delivery to a bigger scale.
By setting up a dedicated entity for our wellbeing services, we aim to have an even bigger impact in society, by being better positioned to bring our solutions to the rest of Australia and the world.
